Luxx Pools was founded from a shared passion for construction, craftsmanship, and creating exceptional outdoor living spaces.

The business was born when long-time colleagues and friends James Callus and Fraser Emery who first connected during their trade school training. Now, with decades of combined hands-on industry experience to bring something truly unique to the pool building industry.

Both James and Fraser have built successful careers across plumbing, building, and project management, gaining deep technical knowledge that sets Luxx Pools apart from traditional pool companies. They recognised early on that high-quality swimming pool construction requires more than great design; it demands expert construction knowledge, structural precision, and an unwavering commitment to quality. That belief became the foundation of Luxx Pools: a premium fibreglass pool builder delivering swimming pools built with precision, reliability, and meticulous attention to detail.

James Callus

Director & Registered Builder

James Callus brings more than 25 years of construction industry experience to Luxx Pools. As both a registered builder and licensed plumber, James holds a rare combination of qualifications that gives him a comprehensive, end-to-end understanding of complex construction projects. From structural planning and groundwork through to plumbing systems and final finishes.

Throughout his 25 year career, James has worked across a wide range of residential construction environments, building a strong reputation for quality workmanship, integrity, and practical problem-solving. His dual trade background allows him to oversee every stage of a pool build with a level of technical insight that few pool builders can offer. James’s commitment to delivering exceptional results and his focus on client satisfaction are central to the values Luxx Pools is built upon.

Fraser Emery

Construction Supervisor, Plumber & Gas Fitter

Fraser Emery brings over 20 years of construction and project supervision experience to Luxx Pools. As a licensed plumber and gas fitter and experienced construction supervisor, Fraser provides the operational backbone of the business. Ensuring every project runs smoothly, safely, and efficiently from excavation through to project completion.

Known for his hands-on approach, attention to detail, and practical problem-solving skills, Fraser has spent much of his career managing complex construction projects on-site and maintaining the highest standards of craftsmanship at every stage. Working closely alongside James, Fraser ensures that each Luxx Pools project upholds the company’s commitment to quality, reliability, and professionalism.

Together, James and Fraser bring a combined 45 plus years of trade experience, a shared passion for building exceptional outdoor spaces, and the technical expertise to deliver fibreglass swimming pools that Geelong homeowners can enjoy for a lifetime.
